Я вчера в 6 утра узнала и с тех пор как пришибленная. Классный человек, и никак не вяжется у меня со смертью.

Yesterday afternoon a man from Israel took his last breath in the canyon of Gorgopotamos.
This is the first lethal canyoning accident occurring in Greece.
The accident happened at a slide just 40 meters before the exit of the canyon.
When the victim was found, he had attached on his harness –in a speleological and not canyoning manner- a heavy, non-floating, backpack containing a big rope.
We assume that, having not predicted the backpack’s lack of floatation, he slid into the turbulent water having his backpack attached on the harness, which drug him quickly at the bottom of the river. In this case, the backpack functioned as a boat’s anchor, dragging him down and not allowing him to escape.
